The Department of Parks

The Department of Parks is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and repairs of the city's new and existing parks, playgrounds, green spaces, facilities and buildings. [ more ]

Street Light Management

Coordinated by the Asst Director of Building Operations, Street Light Management is the liaison between the Utility Providers, Developers, Citizens and the City of Charleston, to ensure Street Light Standards are met. [ more ]

Energy Management

The City of Charleston is partnered with Johnson Controls International in an energy management performance contract. Through this effort, the City has saved $4.4 million dollars in the past seven years and is projected to save an additional $21 million dollars over the next fifteen years. [ more ]
