Mayor's Office for Children, Youth and Families

MOCYF facilitates communication, coordination, mobilizes resources in the community, acts as a community clearinghouse of resource information, builds public/private partnerships, strengthens and enhances community capacity, pilots new initiatives and encourages community collaboration. MOCYF functions as a service enabler, not a service provider. MOCYF's role is to provide the infrastructure that supports service providers; indentifies needs, helps create programs to meet those needs, and ensures long-term sustainability of services.

MOCYF oversees the Mayor's Office on Aging, the Division of Youth Programs, Lowcountry's Promise, Mentoring and other national initiatives. MOCYF works with numerous Commission, Committees and task forces responsible for developing strategies and action plans to address problems and issues.
