The goals of the voluntary Charleston’s Green Business Challenge are to improve environmental performance of commercial and institutional buildings and their operations. Three key elements are reducing a businesses' use of energy, waste and water.

We are in need of 30-40 volunteers to assist us with our biggest event of the year. Over 300 students will be joining us at James Island County Park to display the amazing and creative solutions to local environmental issues that they have worked on with Earth Force throughout this school year.

This is a community organized cleanup event on November 7th from 10-11am. The group will be meeting at the corner of Rutledge and Fishburne.

The Green and Lean brings together two organizations, City of Charleston's Keep Charleston Beautiful and Lowcountry Earth Force, who are working to improve the quality of life in the Lowcountry. The proceeds from this event benefit local school-based environmental education programs.
