In an effort to keep you as informed as possible regarding the H1N1 Flu, we are providing some basic information with links to information created by the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Health and Environmental Control. Our city emergency operations team is monitoring this virus and will keep you up to date as needed.
We are working with our local Department of Health and Environmental Control Office as they are monitoring the situation along with SCDHEC and The National Center for Disease Control. The City of Charleston is prepared to deal with this incident as or if it progresses.
Central DHEC offices in Columbia have set up a statewide flu information line: 1-800-277-4687 for all questions related to the flu. To make an appointment for the H1N1 vaccination locally, please call 953-0090. For other current information, you can visit www.flu.gov or www.cdc.gov .
All information emphasizes the vital importance of getting a
