Have You Been Comp'd?
__________

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who "got comp'd" by attending one of the public input meetings over the past 2 weeks. There is still opportunity to give us your input by taking the Online Survey or emailing us.

The City of Charleston is bringing the plan to you. How should the City grow? Where should growth occur... or where should it not? Is sustainability important for the City? How do Transportation, Land Use the Economy relate to our quality of life? Help guide the answers to these questions...

What's a Comp Plan, you ask? When we say "Comp Plan" we really mean: "Municipal Comprehensive Plan required by the South Carolina Local Government Planning Act and amended to include the more recent Priority Investment Act." So, to make it easier to talk about, we're going with "Comp Plan."

Over the next 8 months the City will be updating the comprehensive plan that is our guide for how our city progresses over the next several decades. While the City's current plan, the Century V Plan, is a flexible, constantly evolving document with many area plans and thematical plans falling under the Century V umbrella, it needs a major update.

How you can help:

Attend any or all of the planned public Comp Plan sessions designed to give you input opportunities and one-on-one conversations with City planners. Also, take the online survey.
