Residential Parking Program
The number of residential parking districts has grown to nine and encompasses much of the downtown area with over 8,000 parking permits issued annually.

In 1975, the City established its first residential parking permit district to ensure sufficient parking to residents of the district and to protect residents from unreasonable burden in gaining access to their homes by minimizing the number of nonresidential and commercial vehicles parking in the neighborhood.

Since that time, the number of parking districts has grown to nine and encompasses much of the downtown area with over 8,000 parking permits being issued annually.
