Cooper River Bridge Neighborhood
The construction of the new Cooper River Bridge and removal of the old bridges is an opportunity to reconnect the surrounding neighborhoods. In order to refine the overall planning concept for the Cooper River Bridge neighborhood, there is another community workshop planned for early 2007. The date, time, and location have not yet been determined. Please continue to visit this website, your local newspaper, and your community representatives for updates.
This urban design study develops strategic approaches for physical improvements and revitalization of the area by opening up new places for homes, businesses, civic institutions, and public spaces. The project promotes a stable and prosperous urban environment, re-establishing the sense of community that once existed here.
